In Uttar Pradesh the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party expelled today controversial jailed MLA Mukhtar Ansari and his brother former MP Afzal Ansari from party with immediate effect.<br/><br/>AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that BSP has said that Ansari brothers have not left their criminal activities as they had assured while getting membership of the party. Mukhtar Ansari had won assembly election as an independent and later on joined BSP. His brother had unsuccessfully contested Lok Sabha elections on BSP ticket from Ghazipur seat.<br/><br/>The BSP has also decided not to get support of Samajwadi Party MLA from Ghazipur Sibagtulla Ansari in the Vidhan Sabha. He had announced to support the BSP on his own. He is a very close relative of Ansari brothers.<br/>
