In Uttar Pradesh, the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party has expelled about 500 party workers and leaders with dubious antecedents from the party with immediate effect. It includes zonal coordinator of Mirzapur division Mr. Narain Das Ahirwar. He has been expelled for not implementing the directives of the party supremo.<br/>Quoting party sources our Lucknow correspondent reports that BSP supremo and State chief Minister Mayawati held a discussion with zonal coordinators at Lucknow and announced the expulsion of the leaders. During the two-hour-long meeting, excluding Mirzapur zone, reports submitted by all other coordinators were found to be correct on the basis of they were expelled from the party. <br/>
