BSP expels 500 party workers, leaders with dubious antecedents

In Uttar Pradesh, the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party has expelled about 500 party workers and leaders with dubious antecedents from the party with immediate effect. It includes zonal coordinator of Mirzapur division Mr. Narain Das Ahirwar. He has been expelled for not implementing the directives of the party supremo.<br/>Quoting party sources our Lucknow correspondent reports that BSP supremo and State chief Minister Mayawati held a discussion with zonal coordinators at Lucknow and announced the expulsion of the leaders. During the two-hour-long meeting, excluding Mirzapur zone, reports submitted by all other coordinators were found to be correct on the basis of they were expelled from the party. <br/><br/> Meanwhile, the Bahujan Samaj Party has alleged that Samajwadi Party and other opposition parties conspired to get entry of leaders and workers with criminal and dubious back ground to the ruling party. While talking to media persons at Lucknow this morning, Party Chief Mayawati said that they have done this with the objective of keeping anti social elements and criminals belonging to their fold, out of jail. She said that such elements have been identified and BSP has shown the door to all of them. She said that senior party leaders have been asked to recheck about criminal elements who remain in the party and submit their report to her on 13th of this month. <br/> The chief Minister said that opposition has nothing substantial against her government and that is why they are making unreasonable statements to defame her government in the name of data of crime activities.<br/>
