BSP has defered its decision on support to UPA government at the Centre. Addressing a press conference in Lucknow today she said that BSP will maintain status quo on the outside support to UPA.

Criticizing the UPA government for its wrong policies and mishandling of corruption matters, she said that despite being against it, the party will take a final decision for supporting or withdrawing the same to UPA very soon.

Ms. Mayawati announced that after due deliberations in the meeting of national executive of the party and its parliamentary board, she has been authorised to take any decision in this regard.

She said that BSP is quite ready to face Lok Sabha elections if the same are announced within a week. She once again reiterated that Lok Sabha elections are quite possible to be held early.
