BSP today criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his remarks against attacks on dalits by cow vigilantes saying the comments are politically motivated. <br/><br/>Talking to reporters outside Parliament, party Chief Mayawati questioned why Mr. Modi was silent in the matter till now. She alleged that such comments have been given in view of assembly elections in different states including in Uttar Pradesh. <br/><br/>Ms. Mayawati said dalits want strict action against the people involved in such incidents not sympathy from Prime Minister. Mr. Modi had asked people to beware of fake cow protectors who are trying to divide society. He had also asked the states to severely punish them.
