In Uttar Pradesh, BSP supremo Mayawati has severely criticized BJP and held the party responsible for the situation which led to burning alive of four Dalits in Faridabad Haryana recently. Addressing a press conference in Lucknow today, she blamed BJP government of the state of Haryana and NDA at the centre for being inhuman and insensitive towards down trodden Dalits. She said that instead of taking stern action against the perpetrators, the authorities are busy shielding them. <br/><br/>She also dubbed Congress vice-President Rahul Gandhi's visit as an eye wash and a political drama questioning why Rahul did not visit those places which are under Congress rule where atrocities were and are meted out to Dalits. She also accused the Samajwadi Party government of Uttar Pradesh where, she said, brutality and injustice towards weaker people specially Dalits is rampant.
