The Border Security Force has strengthened security along the entire stretch of international border along Punjab particularly at Wahga check post in Amritsar sector and Hussainiwala check post in Ferozepur sector as large number of people gather at these points in the evening to watch the retreat ceremony. DIG,BSF, Amritsar sector Mohammad Aqil said that force always remains vigilant and during this foggy weather season patrolling has further been intensified .He said that Pakistan Rangers had not informed BSF about the arrest of militants who were to act at Wahga during retreat ceremony. He said that BSF came to know about the incident only through media reports. He said that this matter would be discussed during next quarterly meeting between BSF and Pak Rangers. It may be recalled that every evening flags are lowered daily at Wahga and Hussainiwala and large number of people visit the spots to watch the ceremony.
