Border Security Force today seized contraband cough syrup, worth Rs 27 lakh in the international market, from a truck in a village near Indo-Bangla border. Acting on a tip off, BSF personnel along with Customs and state police stopped the truck this morning at Ushabazar village and recovered 9,300 bottles of a particular brand of cough syrup hidden under sacks of cement. <br/><br/>This brand of syrup is widely used by drug addicts in the North East and Bangladesh.'This is the second big seizure in a week's time. Last Thursday, two trucks loaded with 65,700 bottles of the same brand of syrup were seized at Moloyagar, near Agartala.
