In Punjab, Border Security Force (BSF) seized heroin worth 130 crore rupees and counterfeit Indian currency of 18 lakh rupees after shooting dead a Pakistani intruder near Border Outpost (BOP) Jodhawala in Feroze pur district last night.<br/><br/>BSF DIG of Abohar-Fazilka sector Vimal Satyarthi said that BSF jawans on night duty at the BOP opened fire when they saw some movement near the border with Pakistan. He said that intruders also fired back and in the exchange of fire one intruder was killed while others escaped. <br/><br/>The DIG said that during search of the area this morning, 26 packets of heroin each weighing one kg, Rs 18 lakh counterfeit Indian currency and a Pakistani made pistol along with some cartridges were recovered from the site of the encounter. <br/><br/>He said that intruder who was killed in the exchange of fire was a Pakistani national in his mid-thirties. Punjab Police has been asked to register a case in this connection and further investigations are on.<br/>
