AIR correspondent reports, in order to deal with the problem of Left Wing Extremism in Chhattisgarh, various central armed police forces have been deployed in different areas.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Border Security Force has been deployed mainly in the districts of kanker, Narayanpur and Kondagaon of the state.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The BSF has conducted effective joint operations against the Maoists in collaboration with the police and other forces during the last nearly ten years.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Till now BSF has arrested around eleven hundred Maoists and killed fourteen maoists in different encounters. Besides, more than four hundred landmines and three hundred kilograms of explosives have been recovered by BSF during search operations.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Apart from conducting operations against Maoists, the BSF also organised several civic action programs to gain the trust of local population. During the corona crisis, BSF distributed food packets to the needy people as well as distributed masks.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Under the Tribal Youth Exchange Programme, BSF facilitated the visit of 150 youths of Kanker district of Chhattisgarh in many places of the country including New Delhi, Bengaluru and Pune, with the objective to sensitize them about their rich and traditional cultural heritage and to expose them to the technological and industrial advancement that have taken place in different states of the country.</span><br />
