In Tripura, BSF has lodged a strong complaint against the killing of Indian civilian and breach of Indian Territory by the Border Guard Bangladesh.
The BSF lodged the complaint at the flag meeting on Friday in the Indo-Bangla Border area in Sonamura.
The Flag meeting was attended by the Commandant of the 29th battalion of BSF and BGB side was lead by Commanding officer of the 33rd BGB.
The Flag meeting could not yield any result and the meeting remained inconclusive. One civilian was killed this morning when 5 Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Jawans entered into the Indian Territory at Tarapukhur area of Shipaijala District and indiscriminately fired 4 rounds in the village.
One Jawan from the 33 battalion of BGB was also apprehended by the BSF. The arrested BGB jawan is still in the custody and is not yet been released according to senior police officials.
Further according to a BSF official the situation in the bordering area in Sonamura sub division though is tensed but is under control.
