In Punjab, a smuggler who was trying to enter into the Indian territory was killed in a firing incident by BSF personnel in Amritsar sector. BSF, Amritsar sector DIG Mohammad Aqeel said that he was killed at Rajatal BOP when the personnel on duty fired at him when he was crossing over to Indian side from across the border. A foreign made pistol, fake Indian currency of 20 lakh rupees and 5 KG heroin of worth 27 crore rupees has been found in the possession of killed smuggler.
