In Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistani shelling along the International Border in Jamnu district today killed a BSF jawan and a child while injuring as many as eight civilians and one BSF personnel.
Meanwhile, BSF has said that unlike our troops, the forces across the border are very unethically targeting the civilian population.

Speaking to media after the wreath laying ceremony of martyred BSF jawan Sushil Kumar in Jammu today, Director General BSF K K Sharma further said that BSF never initiate fire first, but our troops would always be giving a befitting reply after being prvoked to retaliation. He said that Pakistani Rangers have been made to suffer effectively in today's firing also.

Meanwhile, though firing has almost come to a halt in R.S. Pura area, yet the intermittent exchange of fire between Indian troops and Pakistan's forces is still going on at some places in Akhnoor sector.
