In Jammu , BSF today foiled an infiltration bid after a brief exchange of fire between troops and militants along the Indo-Pak border in Garkhal.<br/>A patrolling party of BSF observed some movement in forward area of Garkhal, 30 kms from jammu, in Pargwal belt in early morning hours and challenged the infiltrating militants.The militants opened fire and the BSF troops fired back resulting in exchanges which continued for half an hour following which militants fled back. Another infiltration bid along the LoC was foiled yesterday in Balakote area of Poonch district . This is the third infiltration bid by the militants in the region this year.The first infiltration bid was foiled by BSF in Narianpur Border Out post in Ramgarh sub-sector of Samba district on January 4.
