BSF ASI killed in mortar shelling by Pakistani forces along LoC

In Jammu and Kashmir, in yet another incident of ceasefire violation by Pakistani forces along the Line of Control in Rajouri district, a BSF officer lost his life while two BSF jawans were injured on Sunday evening.<br/><br/>According to defence sources, the Pakistani troops started unprovoked mortar shelling and firing on some BSF forward posts in Gambhir area of Manjakote sector.<br/><br/>In the firing, BSF Assistant Sub Inspector Sohan Lal, a resident of Sikar, Rajasthan was injured seriously who later succumbed to injury on the way to hospital.<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports, though there is no report of immediate retaliation either by BSF or Indian army to the unprovoked Pak Shelling, however the forces are expected to lodge a strong protest with the Pakistani forces for the serious violation of ceasefire.<br/><br/>In another incident, an SPO and a civilian were injured when a mortar shell, said to be fired by Pakistani forces a few days back, exploded in Sabjian sector along the LoC in Poonch district on Sunday.
