BSE Sensex up by 128 points

The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex gained almost 128 points in opening trade today. The 30-share index, which rallied by 123 points in the previous session, gathered another 128 points, or 0.73 per cent at 17,631 points in opening trade. The wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty also rose by 32 points, or 0.62 per cent, to 5,286 points.Hong Kong's Hang Seng index gained 0.98 per cent and Japan's Nikkei was up 1.35 per cent in the morning trade today. The US Dow Jones Average ended 1.10 per cent higher on Thursday's trade.
