The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex today moved up by over 113 points in opening trade amid strong global cues. The Sensex was trading at 17582, up by 72 points when reports last came in. The wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty also gained 28 points to trade at 5,262. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average on Wednesday ended 0.50 per cent higher, while Japan's Nikkei and Hong Kong's HangSeng were up by almost 1 per cent in the morning trade today.
