BSE Sensex up by 110 points in green

Snapping a seven-session winning streak, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange fell 33 points, or 0.2 per cent, to 19,469, in opening trade, this morning, on investor caution ahead of the Reserve Bank's first-ever mid-quarter monetary policy review. But the Sensex rebounded smartly after the announcement of the RBI's policy review, and stood 110 points, or 0.6 per cent in the green, at 19,612, a short while ago. Other Asian bourses in Japan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and China were down by between 0.1 per cent and 2.5 per cent.
