The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange opened 192 points, or 1 per cent higher at 19,314 this morning on renewed buying by funds, supported by a normal monsoon forecast and firm regional bourses. After easing somewhat, the Sensex still stood 102 points, or 0.5 per cent in the positive zone at 19,224 in afternoon deals a short while ago. Other Asian markets in Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan were up by between 0.4 per cent and 2 per cent, today. In the US, the Dow Jones Industrial Average had ended 0.5 per cent higher, overnight.

BSE Sensex trading 102 up in afternoon session
