The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange gained 62 points, or 0.3 per cent, to 18,622 in early trade, today, amid a rise in direct tax collections, and continued capital inflows by foreign funds. Remaining firm, the Sensex stood 88 points, or 0.5 per cent in the green, at 18,648, a short while ago. But other Asian markets in Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore fell between 0.1 per cent and 0.8 per cent.
