The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex recovered by 99 points in the opening trade today. The 30-share index, which had lost over 310 points in the previous session, bounced back by 98.94 points or 0.56 per cent to 17,479 points in the first five minutes of trading. The wide-based National Stock Exchange's Nifty rose 28.05 points, or 0.53 per cent, to 5,243 points.
