BSE Sensex recovers

Extending on Tuesday's losses, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange dropped 150 points, to 16,203, in opening trade on Wednesday morning, pulled down by weak cues from other Asian markets. Recovering somewhat in volatile trade, the Sensex stood 51 points, or 0.3 per cent in the red, at 16,302, a short while ago. Meanwhile, key stock indices in China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan were down by between 0.8 per cent and 2.2 per cent on Wednesday.
