The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rebounded from the lows of the day, but still ended with a loss of 223 points, or 1.3 per cent, at 16,632 on Friday. Earlier in the session, the Sensex had plummeted a massive 644 points, as concerns about Dubai's debt problems rattled markets around the world. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange fell 64 points, or 1.3 per cent, to 4,942. The country's six key infrastructure industries grew by 3.5 per cent in October this year, compared to 2 per cent in October last year. The rupee depreciated 20 paise, to 46.65 against the dollar. Gold plunged 320 rupees, to 17,850 rupees per ten grams in Delhi, on concerns over the Dubai debt crisis.
