The BSE benchmark Sensex today extended its winning streak of past two sessions and opened 93 points higher on the last day of 2010. The 30-share index of the Bombay Stock Exchange, which had gained over 363 points in the previous two sessions, moved to 20,482 levels in the opening trade with all the sectoral indices trading in green. In a similar fashion, the broad-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index climbed 46 points up to 6,106 levels. Brokers said that besides firming trend on the other Asian bourses, beginning of new settlement in the derivatives segment also buoyed the trading sentiments. Meanwhile, the Hong Kong's Hang Seng index was up 0.13 per cent in the morning trade today, while the US Dow Jones Industrial average ended 01.4 per cent down in the previous session.
