The Sensex rose for the seventh straight day in opening trade at the Bombay Stock Exchange today, adding 152 points on continued buying by funds amid a firming trend in Asian markets and easing crude oil prices. The 30-share index, which has gained nearly 1,277 points in the previous six sessions, rose further to 19,273. All the sectoral indices were trading in the positive zone, registering gains of up to 1.11 per cent.Similarly, the broad-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index also moved up by 43.60 points, or 0.76 per cent, to 5,779.Meanwhile, Japan's Nikkei index rose by 1.78 per cent and Hong Kong's Hang Seng gained 1.55 per cent in early trade today. In the US, the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 0.67 per cent higher on Tuesday.
