The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex fell by nearly 62 points today, as funds and retail investors booked profits amid weak global markets. The 30-share index, edged lower by 61.54 points, or 0.35 per cent to 17,204 points. The National Stock Exchange's Nifty fell 18.45 points, or 0.35 per cent, to 5,160 points.Meanwhile, Hong Kong's Hang Seng was down 0.80 per cent and Japan's Nikkei shed 1.61 per cent in the morning trade today. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average had ended 1.05 per cent higher on Thursday's trade.
