Snapping four days of losses, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed a modest 43 points, or 0.2 percent higher, at 18,309, amid positive European markets, today. The Sensex had lost over 220 points in the last four trading sessions. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange rose 18 points, or 0.3 percent, to 5,501. Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore ended mixed.
