The Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex could not sustain the early gains and is down by 37 points at 19,965 in the noon trade. In the opening trade, it shot up by 104 points. The wide based National Stock Exchange's Nifty is also down by 20 points at 5993 after rising in the opening trade.
