The Sensex, at the Bombay Stock Exchange lost 47 points or 0.2 percent to close at 19,935, after a volatile day's trade today. The Sensex had gained 27 points at the day's high, to 20,008 and declined 157 points at the day's low. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange shed 16 points or 0.3 percent at 5,977. Stock markets in, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore rose between 0.3 and 0.8 percent. But, Japan's key index fell 0.3 percent.
