BSE Sensex 22 points up and ruling at 20,583

The Sensex in the Bombay stock Exchange was 22 points up and ruling at 20,583 a short while ago. It rose by nearly 90 points to 20,650 in the opening trade today, extending its four-session gaining streak on sustained buying by funds and retail investors. The stocks of consumer durables, oil and gas, and metal sectors were leading the rally.The National Stock Exchange Nifty index was up by about 11 points and ruling at 6181.
