BS Yeddyurappa to resign tomorrow afternoon

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa says, he will resign tomorrow afternoon. In a press release in Bangalore today Yeddyurappa denied media report that he has refused to resign. BJP State President K S Eeshwarappa said the legislative party meeting to elect the new Chief Minister will be convened after the resignation of Yeddyurappa tomorrow. Meanwhile, two bus loads of BJP MLAs visited Central Leaders Rajnath Singh and Arun Jaitley. State Home Minister R. Ashoka said, the new chief minister will be decided on the basis of the opinion of all legislators. Seeking to break the logjam on leadership issue in Karnataka, top BJP central leaders today set the ball rolling to choose a successor to Yeddyurappa and holding consultations with legislators and MPs. According to BJP sources, Yeddyurappa will tender his resignation tomorrow afternoon, keeping his word. He promised to step down tomorrow following the party directive on Thursday after his indictment in the Lokayukta report on illegal mining scam.
