The British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown is offering to reduce Britain's nuclear deterrent. Mr. Brown will tell the special session of the United Nations Security Council tomorrow that he is prepared to cut Britain's fleet of Trident missile-carrying submarines from four to three. The Foreign Secretary David Miliband said he wanted other nuclear powers to consider cutting their arsenal too.
