BRO working round the clock to restore connectivity in north Sikkim

Border Roads Organization (BRO) is working round the clock to restore connectivity in north Sikkim. Due to a cloud burst over Lhonak Lake during the intervening night of 3-4 Oct 2023, North Sikkim suffered massive destruction. For restoring vital connectivity between Mangan and Chungthang, the construction of bridge over the river Teesta at Sanklang and Chungthang is critical. To achieve early connectivity, BRO and the Army are working together tirelessly and have started construction of much needed Bailey Bridge both at Sanklang and Chungthang. The synergy of man and machine and an unwavering commitment and dedication to one's duty have been on display by brave BRO workers during these challenging times.<br />''  <br />'' Due to flash floods, sections of important highway NH 310 and NH 310 AG connecting district headquarter Mangan to Chungthang and further to Lachen got washed away. Thus, breaking down connectivity between Chungthang and Mangan. Since the very next day, the Border Roads Organization (BRO), true to their reputation without caring for their personal safety, swung into quick restoration efforts and responded meticulously to the challenge by mobilizing man and machinery.
