Briton Chris Froome has bagged the Tour de France, the annual multiple stage bicycle race, for the second time. At the end of the three-week race at Champs Elysees in Paris yesterday, the 2013 winner reached the finish line alongside his teammates on the final stage. Rain had forced the Tour organizers to neutralise the 10 closing laps, and Froome was officially declared the winner soon after he hit the wet cobbled streets. The win for Froome means a Briton, and Team Sky, have now won three of the last four of cycling's showpiece races.Colombia's Nairo Quintana finished second, and Spaniard Alejandro Valverde ended third. Mark Cavendish, seeking a fifth victory, finished sixth.Meanwhile, the Paris police is searching for the driver of a vehicle that tried to crash through a security barrier for the Tour de France, earlier in the day. Police had opened fire on the car but the suspect drove away. The car was later found abandoned nearby.
