The British Royal Air Force has delivered nearly 230 million dollars worth of cash to the Central Bank in Libya in Benghazi. The newly-minted stock is part of larger consignment which is being printed in Britain. However, delivery was frozen at the start of the crisis to prevent the money being controlled by Col. Gaddafi's government. In Washington, State Department spokeswoman, Victoria Nuland said, the United States supports releasing assets to the rebels. She said, a secure and stable Libya that is making its transition successfully to a democratic future is vital to US interests. She said, Washington and other countries need to help the Libyan people and the TNC get on course.
