British PM calls on its allies to support Obama’s strategy in Afghanistan

British PM called on Britain's allies to back President Obama's troop surge strategy in Afghanistan. Britain, which has the second largest contingent of foreign troops in Afghanistan, has confirmed that it was to send 500 reinforcements, tipping its deployment there over the 10,000 mark. Mr Brown said that all 43 nations which are members of the US-led coalition in Afghanistan would be invited to take part in a special conference on Afghanistan on January 28 which London is hosting.
