Trade unions and the opposition in Britain have condemned announcement of the country's biggest public sector spending cuts for decades. The opposition Labour Party said, the Government's plans to tackle Britain's deficit were a strategy chosen by ideology and not economics. More than a thousand protesters held a rally in London with some Union leaders calling for mass protests like those taking place in France.
