India's Saurav Ghosal has advanced into the pre-quarterfinals of the British Open Squash Championships in Hull. In the opening round of the Men's category yesterday, Saurav, ranked 19 in the world, sailed past Briton Jonathan Kemp in the opening round, 11-9, 11-6, 11-6. Saurav will now face fourth seed Gregory Gaultier of France in the pre-quarterfinals today.In the women's category, India's Joshana Chinappa qualified for the Women's main draw. 26th-ranked Chinappa resisted a tough challenge from Deon Saffery of Wales, and defeated her, 11-13, 11-9, 11-9, 11-5, to enter the main draw.India's ace player Dipika Pallikal will play her first round match against Denmark's Line Hansen today.
