British government prepare to allow greater flexibility in airport security checks

The British government says it is prepared to allow greater flexibility in the way airport security checks are carried out. The Transport Minister Philip Hammond said regulations would be changed to make checks on passengers easier. Some British airlines have accused the authorities of enforcing unnecessary checks because of demands from the United States.
