Britain is to spend around 27 million dollars to improve the safety and skills of tens of thousands of Bangladeshi factory workers. The International Development Minister, Alan Duncan, who is on a visit to Dhaka, said the new programme will train low-skilled garment workers to improve overall productivity leading to better wages and working conditions.More than 1100 people were killed after a multi-storey building collapsed in April raising concerns about the safety Bangladeshi workers.
