Britain temporarily suspends student visa applications from N India

Britain has announced temporary suspension of student visa applications in North India centres from Monday due to the unexpectedly high numbers of such applications received from these areas in this year. <br/><br/>The centres are New Delhi, Chandigarh and Jalanldhar. British High Commissioner in New Delhi, Sir Richard Stagg said, in 2009 only 1800 applications were received from October to December as against 13,500 this year. Mr. Stagg, accepting visas from these centres will begin as soon as possible.
