In Tamilnadu, brisk polling has been reported from all over the State. The Joint CEO Sivagnanam said that in all the 39 constituencies, the polling percentage was 35.2 till noon.

For the Alandur bye election assembly constituency it was 27.6 percent.

There was no untoward incidents reported till now. AIADMK Supremo Ms.Jayalalithaa, DMK Chief Mr.Karunanidhi, DMK treasurer M.K.Stalin, DMDK leader Vijaykant had cast their votes in Chennai.
