Brisbane Test, Day 2: Pakistan 97 for 8 in reply to Australia's 429

Pakistan tumbled to 97 for 8 in their first innings in reply to Australia's 429 at the end of second day's play of their day-night first Test at the Gabba, Brisbane today. Pakistan hit early trouble when they lost their first wicket of Azhar Ali who was caught by a diving Usman Khawaja at third slip off Mitchell Starc for five in the fifth over. Thereafter, wickets fell like cards with only S Aslam, B Azam and S Ahmad making double digit scores. S. Ahmad on 31 and M Amir on 8 were at the crease when stumps were pulled off.Earlier, for Australia Peter Handscomb posted his maiden century of 105 and S. Smith hit a brilliant century of 130.
