At Brisbane on Saturday, India lost the second Cricket Test against Australia by four wickets. Resuming the fourth day at their overnight second innings score of 71 for one, India were bowled out for 224 runs. Chasing a paltry victory target of 128, Australian knocked off the required runs losing six wickets. The hosts now lead the four-match series Two-Nil. India had lost the first Test at Adelaide by 48 runs.The final scores:- India – 408 and 224. Australia – 505 and 130 for 6, in 23.1 overs.The defeat also brought to the fore India's dismal record outside the sub-continent with their15th defeat in the last three and half years. Mahendra Singh Dhoni's poor track record as Test captain in overseas conditions also continued as he lost his 14th Test match outside the sub-continent. The two teams will now travel to Melbourne for the 'Boxing Day' Test. Australia need a win or at least a draw in the third Test to regain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
