Today defeated India by 110 runs in their tri-series ODI in Brisbane. Electing to bat, Australia made 288 for five in their 50 overs, and then bowled out India for 178 in 43.3 overs. It was a batting disaster for India, with one after another batsman failing to stand up to attacks by Australian bowlers particularly of Lee and Hilfenhaus. Gambhir, Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Tendulkar left the crease without making any substantial contribution to the Team's total. Skipper Dhoni was the only batsman who could cross the half century mark. He made 56. On the Australian side, Mike Hussey scored 59 and Peter Forrest made 52 India will next play with Srilanka on the 23rd of this month at the Brisbane stadium.
