<span style="color: #222222;">Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the country's richest municipal body will present its budget today. Lot of expectations will be there from the Civic body as the budget is being presented in the backdrop of the global pandemic which created a heavy burden on the health infrastructure of Mumbai. Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal will present the budget today. The budget is expected to have its focus on augmenting the health infrastructure as done in the Union Budget. Lot of ongoing projects will also require adequate allocations to expedite them as they were affected by the prolonged lockdown imposed due to global pandemic. The opposition leaders in BMC have demanded increased allocation for the health department. <br />''<br />''On the other hand the BMC administration will be under pressure to consider either the introduction of new taxes or to increase the existing taxes as the civic body requires huge revenue for the upgradation of health infrastructure.
