Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that BRICS countries are in mission-mode to eradicate poverty to ensure health, education, food security, sanitation, skills, gender equality and energy. <br/><br/>The Prime Minister speaking at Plenary Session of BRICS summit a short while ago said, BRICS has developed a robust framework for cooperation and contributed to stability and growth in a world drifting towards uncertainty. Mr Modi said BRICS countries can work closely with International Solar Alliance to strengthen the solar energy agenda. Mr Modi also sought early creation of BRICS rating agency to cater to financing needs of sovereign & corporate entities of developing countries.<br/><br/>Leaders of five members of BRICS countries of Bazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa participated in the session of the summit. Mr Modi on the sidelines of the summit will also have bilateral meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Brazilian President Temer. '<br/><br/>AIR correspondent reports that opening ceremony of BRICS Cultural Festival, BRICS Leaders' Dialogue with BRICS Business Council and Signing of documents Ceremony will also be held today. Host country China has invited five guest countries for the summit under its BRICS plus approach. They are Egypt, Kenya, Tajikistan, Mexico and Thailand. These countries will also participate in photo ops with BRICS leaders.
