The BJP on Monday demanded that Prime Minister should take the nation fully into confidence on the issue of alleged offering of bribe to the Chief of Army Staff. Addressing a press conference in New Delhi senior BJP leader Jaswant Singh said that such revelation raises serious concern about national security and state of National Defence. He also sought explanation from the Defence Minister about action taken in this regard.

The Congress spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that the party is maintaining the tradition of not commenting the issues related to Defence. However, he said that if there is any relevant input available with the concerned department appropriate action will be taken in this regard.
