In Kerala, the Brazilians Club Atletico Paranaense won the inaugural match of the Sait Nagjee International Club Football Tournament drubbing Englands Watford FC 2-0 at Kozhikode. The first goal for Paranaense came in the 60th minute through Luis Soares. Two minutes later Joao Pedro Silva made it 2-0. Paranaense had edge right from the beginning and maintained it throughout the game. The first half went goalless but there was no dearth of entertainment as both the teams adopted attacking strategy. Paranaense got four golden chances in the first half. Watford goalkeeper Luke Simpson had some difficulty in blocking twopowerful shots taken by Joao Pedro Silva inside the box. Paranaense could not convert the corner kick allotted at 40th . minute. The free kick taken by Gerson Galdinho in the 42-nd minute hit the goal post and went out of bounds. The next match in the Nagjee trophy is between Argentina Under- 23 team and 1860 Munich today.
