In Kerala the Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho Gaucho will inaugurate the Nagjee International Club Football Tournament, which is being revived after a gap of 21 years, at a function in Kozhikode later this month. The tournament will kick off on February 5, and the final is scheduled to be on 21th of February. This is for the first time in India more than five foreign teams participate in a club football tournament. Seven foreign teams have confirmed their participation which includes Argentina (U-23), Watford FC (U-23) from England, Levante UD (U-23) from Spain, Atletico Paranaense (U-23) from Brazil, TSV 1860 Munchen (U-23) from Germany, Rapid Bucharest from Romania and Hertha BSC (U-23) from Germany. I league team from India also will participate in the event. The tournament is being conducted as a joint venture of Mondial, a noted sports company in Saudi Arabia, and the Kozhikode District Football Association. Ronaldinho had earlier visited Pune in 2012 for the promotion of his animation movie `R'-10.
